Plot Summary

During the French Revolution, the legendary hero "Black Tulip" (played by Alain Delong) robbed the rich to help the poor, causing the nobles to feel anxious every day. The 'Black Tulip' appears masked, but its true identity is actually Count Guillaume, and pleading for the people is actually for its own selfish desires. The police chief set a trap to lure him to appear, and during the melee, he stabbed him on the left side of the face, leaving a scar. This became strong evidence for the arrest of "Black Tulip" and led to a city wide search. To avoid exposing his identity, Count Guillaume had no choice but to invite his twin brother Julian (played by Alain Delong) to attend the political conference in his place. Julian disdained his brother's actions, so he stepped forward in the name of "Black Tulip" and fought alongside the people. But in a battle, Julian accidentally got caught and was in a desperate situation. Count Guillaume finally realized his conscience and sacrificed his life to rescue him, but unfortunately he was arrested. Just as the execution of Count Guillaume was about to take place, the 'Black Tulip' reappeared, composing a heroic myth of righteous men.
