Plot Summary

Inspector Li (played by Jackie Chan) and his old partner James Carter (played by Chris Tucker), who came from Los Angeles to Hong Kong for vacation, are really busy. Due to a bomb attack on the US Consulate, two staff members were killed. Inspector Li has to take Carter to visit the Triad leader and former partner of his father, Deng Liqi (played by Zunlong). Deng Liqi's henchmen, Hu Li (played by Zhang Ziyi), and others, attacked Li and Carter one after another. Soon after, Li was banned from participating in the case by the US side, and the Hong Kong police station was also bombed. Li and Carter, who were separated, arrived at Deng Liqi's yacht and learned that there was internal strife within the Triad. As soon as they finished speaking, Hu Li shot and killed Deng Liqi in the sea...
