Plot Summary

In the 1870s, a peaceful American settler killed the murderer of his family, unleashing the anger of a notorious gang leader. His cowardly fellow townspeople then betrayed him, forcing him to pursue the criminals alone. The story is set in a small town in the western United States in the 1870s. A gentle Danish immigrant seeks revenge on the murderer after losing his family, but this makes him a notorious villain in the area. All the residents in the town who were afraid of death betrayed him, leaving the protagonist to face those lawbreakers alone. The Salvation, a Western drama film expected to be released in Denmark on October 2, 2014, was nominated for the competition at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. It is the fifth feature film directed by Danish director Kristin Levering to appear on the big screen, starring Cannes Best Actor Medmikson and sexy actress Eva Green. This film is written and directed by Kristian Levring, also known as "Don't Be Afraid of Me". It stars Mads Mikkelsen, "300 Heroes: Rise of the Empire" Eva Green, and "Red Tide Invasion" Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
