Plot Summary

Directed by Stanley Kramer and produced by United Artists, this film tells the story of a life drama that reflects the dark side of human nature. Smarcowen passed away after overtaking and falling off a cliff, revealing before his death that a large sum of money was buried in Santa Rossi Park. There are eight people who know this news, with different identities, backgrounds, and professions, who engage in ridiculous, thrilling, and crazy struggles to obtain this unexpected wealth alone. Who knew that what they were fighting for was the stolen money from a robbery 15 years ago, and everything they did was under the control of the police. The treasure was finally unearthed. The captain of the Crow faction, who was about to retire and had a meager retirement pension, resorted to using public funds for personal gain and absconded with the money. However, he was eventually caught by the police, making his dream of getting rich a pipe dream come to nothing. This film portrays the ugly forms of human nature in a playful and angry manner, portraying the characters with great depth. Although laughter is heard, it shows the director's good intentions.
