Description
Plot Summary
The film, written by Troy Kennedy Martin, depicts five dedicated soldiers leading a team of American tanks to break through the German defenses during World War II and rob a bank behind enemy lines of over 10 million yuan worth of gold. Director Brian G. Hutton attempted to make a war adventure film in a comedic way, but the effect was not ideal. However, each of the main characters has a distinct personality and performs well, especially Clint Eastwood's performance which was highly praised by the audience. Coupled with the imaginative plot, this film still maintains a certain level of entertainment value.
