Plot Summary

Gui Zhihong is the first of the "Evil" trilogy. In the early years of the Republic of China, the Chen family road in Xiguan, Guangzhou had fallen, leaving only Chen Xiuying (Tianni), her husband Yang Zhenyu (Wang Rong) who had married, and the maid who served Xiuying. Xiuying is weak and sickly, and she coughs uncontrollably every time she moves around. Zhenyu is a gambler and drinker, and when she encounters any trouble outside, she will punch and kick Xiuying and her maid. The maid can no longer bear it and doesn't want Xiuying to go home. On this day, Xiuying welcomed Liang Qihua (Chen Sijia), who claimed to be the daughter of a servant of the Chen family. Seeing Xiuying's body is weak, Qihua expresses her willingness to stay and take care of her. Xiuying explains Zhenyu's bad habits. Qihua still has no hesitation, and Xiuying is grateful. Zhenyu did not give any special treatment to this new maid, but Qihua was not a "good person" either. One day, she seized the opportunity and joined forces with Xiuying to kill Zhenyu. Xiuying fell into panic from then on and was finally scared to death by Zhenyu's "ghost". What she didn't know until her death was that Qihua was originally Zhenyu's lover, and Zhenyu and Qihua didn't expect Xiuying to be haunted.
