Description

Plot Summary

This film tells the story of two British Olympic athletes in 1924. In 1919, at the opening ceremony of Case College, Cambridge, a Jewish student named Abraham (played by Ben Cross) was welcomed. He is good at running and became famous after participating in the Cambridge Loop Challenge. However, his Jewish identity caused him to suffer from racial prejudice, so he was determined to win the gold medal in the Olympic 100 meter race to combat racial prejudice. Another sprinter is Ellie Creed (played by Ian Charleson) from the Scottish Highlands, who has a great talent for running. He himself is a devout Christian and believes that his talent comes from God. He runs for God. At the 1923 National Games, two young people faced each other head-on, and Eli Creed ultimately won the championship. Abraham hired a professional coach to guide him in preparing for the Olympics. In 1924, as the Paris Olympics approached, Eli Creed learned that the 100m qualifying race would be held on Sunday. As a Christian, he strictly adhered to the doctrine of 'no work on the Sabbath', and ultimately decided to withdraw from the 100m race. On the other hand, Abraham not only had to face powerful American generals, but also had to face his own heart. Who will win this Olympic gold medal
