Plot Summary
This film is adapted from a true story and tells the story of Diane Fossey, a female ecologist who devoted her life to conserving chimpanzees. Xue Ge Ni Wei Fu (Oscar nominee for Best Actress, "Alien Sequel") plays this resolute, confident, independent, and passionate legendary woman. This ecological conservation expert, in order to study endangered African chimpanzees, resolutely abandons the civilized world and lives in the dense misty forest for eighteen years, becoming their friend and protector; Australian actor Brian Brown (from "Mission to the Devil" and mini series "Stinger") plays a photographer who travels to document the event. In addition to being nominated for five Academy Awards (Best Actress, Best Editing, Best Film Score, Best Sound Effects, Best Adapted Screenplay), this film also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and Best Film Score (and was nominated for Best Narrative Video).
