Description
Plot Summary
Bestselling author Paul Sheldon (played by James Caan) is driving home with his latest work, "Mithrie". On the way, he encountered a terrible snowstorm, a car overturned, and Paul's legs were severely injured. Fortunately, she was rescued in time by nurse Anne Wilkes (played by Kathy Bates) who lived alone on a nearby mountaintop. Anne is Paul's number one fan, and under her careful care, Paul's injury gradually improved. But when she learned that her beloved female protagonist had died in Paul's new book, she couldn't contain her anger and used various means to retaliate against Paul, gradually driving the writer to despair... The film is adapted from the horror novel of the same name by Stephen King, and the female lead Casey Bates won the Best Actress award at the 63rd Academy Awards for her crazy and capricious performance in the film.
