Description
Plot Summary
The news of their daughter Jessie (Skye McCole Bartusiak) being kidnapped has plunged Nathan's (Michael Douglas) family into an unprecedented crisis. The kidnappers, Scott (Sean Bean), make strange demands that Nathan use his expertise as a psychiatrist to deal with a woman named Elizabeth's (Brittany Murphy) illness within a week. Under the advanced surveillance equipment of the kidnappers, Nathan was unable to report to the police, and Elizabeth's strange behavior left Nathan at a loss. As the agreed deadline approaches, the situation of the event becomes increasingly urgent. The appearance of female detective Sandra (played by Jennifer Esposito) undoubtedly became Nathan's only lifeline. With her help, Nathan not only tracked down the kidnappers' whereabouts, but also gradually revealed Elizabeth's mysterious past.
