Plot Summary
This film is adapted from the eponymous work "War and Peace" by Russian literary giant Leo Tolstoy. It follows the emotional stories of a noblewoman named Natasha (played by Clemence Poesy), a young noblewoman named Pierre (played by Alexander Beyer), and Duke Andrei (played by Alessio Boni). The film revolves around the 1812 Russian War and tells the major events and various aspects of life in Russian society between 1805 and 1820. Russian society has gone through a period of war and peace, and the three protagonists have also found the meaning of life in war. This new version of "War and Peace" was filmed for 26 million euros by six countries including Russia, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Poland, and Spain. It took two years and was filmed in four countries including Poland, Lithuania, Australia, and Russia. This film once again brings the epic masterpiece "War and Peace" by the Russian literary giant Tolstoy to the screen, with a distinct international color and an international creative lineup.
