Plot Summary

In 2006, Mumbai, India. Indian youth Gemma Malik (played by Dave Patel) is one more question away from winning 20 million rupees. How did he do it? A: He cheated; B: He is lucky; C: He is a genius; D: Everything is destined. This is the life version of the TV guessing show 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'. Jamal Malik was arrested by the police on charges of fraud after winning 10 million rupees. Under severe interrogation, Jamal revealed the truth behind his acquisition of 10 million rupees - he did know the answer, but that's all he knew! Gemma, who comes from a slum, lived a difficult life at a young age, but together with his brother Shalim and the young girl Latika (played by Frida Pinto), they experienced decades of changes in India. Every previous question seemed to be a fragment of Gemma's memory, touching his memories of family, love, and life. Now, on one hand, Gemma needs to clear herself of criminal suspicion, and on the other hand, she needs to save her love for Latika.
