Plot Summary

In 2003, the Iraq War broke out. The Saddam government was severely damaged, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD) became a powerful excuse for the United States to send troops to Iraq. The small team led by Roy Miller (played by Matt Damon) was ordered to search for the WMD inside Iraq, but countless searches were unsuccessful, which left Miller puzzled about the source of the intelligence report. During a certain operation, he met a local one legged man named Fahadi, from whom Miller learned that a group of key Iraqi figures were gathering in a certain place. During the operation, he accidentally discovered that Al Rawi (played by Yigal Naor), who was also on the poker wanted list, was among them, and Al Rawi seemed to have a complicated relationship with the US government. Miller launched an independent investigation despite dissuasion and found that the so-called WMD was just a lie that contained countless ugly truths... This film is adapted from the work "The Life of the Kings in the Emerald City: Deep in the Green Zone of Iraq" by Rajiv Chandrasekaran, a Baghdad based journalist for The Washington Post.
