Plot Summary
This film follows the entire process of Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present, a large-scale retrospective exhibition held by Serbian performance artist Marina Abramovic (played by Marina Abramovic) at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York in 2010, who is known as the grandmother of contemporary performance art. In this exhibition, several of the artist's most famous performance art works were recreated by 30 invited young contemporary artists, while Marina Abramovic herself once again created a shocking yet heart stirring performance art work in her reflection on the infinite pursuit of art and humanity. At the same time, the film also reviews the love hate relationship between Marina Abramovic and her former soulmate Ulay. The reconciliation between Ulay and Marina at the performance also moved everyone.
