Plot Summary

Niu Xiaobo (played by Bao Beier) was born into a family of coffins, and several generations have made a living by making coffins. Due to a bizarre accident when he was a child, Xiaobo lost his "smile" forever. No matter how happy things happened to him, he couldn't laugh and was called a weirdo by people. Fortunately, he had been living in his rural hometown for a few years, and he himself didn't realize that not laughing was a big and strange thing. As Xiaobo grew up and became an adult, he decided to step out of the mountains and explore the world outside. However, although the outside world was exciting, he felt helpless. He originally wanted to leave the coffin shop in his hometown to find a decent job, but in the end, he ended up working in a funeral home, which made him somewhat disappointed. As time passed, Xiaobo experienced the various aspects of life on the other side of the world at the funeral home, witnessed the true state of various families when their loved ones turned into a wisp of smoke, and understood the flavors of life that he had not previously realized .....
