Plot Summary
Shadows and light are concentrated in the latest work of photographer and explorer Sebasti á n Salgado: discovering that modern civilization is still present around the world. Salgado's son, Beletti, co directed by Salgado, accompanied Wenders and his father on this amazing adventure in the most unchanging place in the world. Ask him about the result of the work of Belletti, Sebastian's father who left the family lifestyle. Despite the tension and hesitation in the relationship between the father and son, they gradually managed to regain their lost connection. Together, they discovered a primitive natural state filled with mysterious creatures and human society isolated from the world. This movie takes us to the heart of the Amazon and turns us into an Indian tribe. It takes us to Wrangel Island in Siberia and shows us the lush swamp papoos of Irian Jaya and the Pantanal region of Brazil. Throughout the journey, Salgado's photographer faced a completely different background and found his position among them. In Shadow and Light, Wenders focuses on his first love and his work as a film director: photography. The newspaper he encountered was an image of two people dedicating themselves to reflecting their views on the world.
