Plot Summary
In this visually stunning and captivating series, 1004/2000 witnesses the extraordinary wildlife of Iberian forests - one of the most beautiful but ferocious environments on Earth. This movie was filmed for over a year and depicts the lives of various animals - from eagles and wolves to storks and lynx - struggling to survive in the midst of the drastic changes in forest seasons. Combining the climate of the Mediterranean with the intimacy of Africa, this region is endowed with unparalleled diversity and is home to the rarest large feline species (Iberian lynx) and the smallest mammal species (Etruscan tree shrew) on Earth. But living in the forests of Iberia is very difficult. Surviving here has never been easy. With climate change happening faster than ever before, survival here is becoming increasingly savage. Life is always on the brink of danger now, which animals will survive on this extreme land?
