Description
Plot Summary
The film is adapted from the novel of the same name written by John Williams, and tells the story of Andrews, a young man who dropped out of Harvard in 1873. Influenced by the natural concepts of Emerson and Thoreau, Andrews arrives at Butcher's Cross with the impulse to find beauty, hope, and vitality, and follows hunter Miller (played by Cage) and two others (skinner Schneider and camp worker Charlie Hogg) into the Colorado mountains to hunt bison. They each embarked on this uncertain journey with different purposes and ideas. They experienced numerous difficulties and even lost one person's life before returning to Butcher's Cross Town, but there were earth shattering changes happening here.
