Plot Summary

The man packaged various banned substances and, under the cover of darkness, followed navigation instructions to deliver liberation and joy to every corner of Tehran. In the eyes of those suffering souls, he was like a prophet of the dark night, but in reality, he was a lonely man accompanied only by a dog. During his boring journey, he used one tube after another of anesthesia as spiritual food and sold it to people at every stop looking for a harbor for their souls. The suffocating endless night is like the inner wasteland of the Iranian people. Just like renowned director Jafar Panahi, Iranian emerging director Ali Amadzad has completed a dark and psychedelic version of "The Life of the Taxi" under the ban of the authorities. Not only did they use all amateur cast and guerrilla style crew to attack, but they also broke down the video into ten segments and spent several years filming them separately before reassembling them. During the filming process, there was a battle of wits with the authorities, including covert filming, bribery, and fraud. Instead of Panachy's worldly optimism, there is a frank criticism of the government and an unreserved confrontation with mainstream values, like an image-based rebel revolution, which won the Golden Leopard Award at the Locarno Film Festival.
