Description
Plot Summary
Wanted criminal Chen Guilin (played by Ruan Jingtian) is nearing the end of his life, only to find himself ranked third on the wanted list. He is determined to uncover the whereabouts of the top two wanted criminals and eliminate them one by one. Chen Guilin thought he had become the contemporary Zhou Chu eliminate the three evils, but he did not expect that greed, anger, and ignorance, which he could never fully comprehend, were the ultimate sin and punishment he would face in life. The allusion of "eliminating the three harms in Zhouchu" cited in the film can be found in "Biography of Zhouchu" in the Book of Jin and "New Words of the World". According to records, the young Zhou Chu was burly and strong willed, but he roamed the countryside and was disliked by his neighbors. Hou Zhouchu single handedly killed the fierce tiger and evil dragon, and he himself turned back and reformed, thus eliminating all three evils.
