Plot Summary
As early as December 2010, Anderson intended to adapt Thomas Pynchon's "Sex is Evil", but due to the early funding of another new film "The Master", "Sex is Evil" was temporarily shelved. Sex is Evil "has a shell similar to Chandler's detective novels, where Los Angeles private detective Doc meets his ex girlfriend Shasta unexpectedly and learns an unverified story from her - a bizarre kidnapping case where the victim - her current lover - is a real estate developer with a waist wrapped in billions of dollars. Duo Keming knew that "love" was a vague and potentially troublesome word, or that it had somehow stumbled into Shasta's story, and the plot grew deeper and deeper, with surfers, pimps, drug dealers, rock musicians, loan sharks who committed murder, and all kinds of people appearing and disappearing...
