Description

Plot Summary

The Hebrew title of the film, "Kirot," means "wall," referring to the two female protagonists who go from being strangers to communicating through a wall until they finally come together. One wants to break free from the control of a local gang and reunite with her youngest daughter in Russia, while the other fights against a husband who has a serious tendency towards abuse. The two women fight for their ideals and survival, creating a new version of "The Last Stand". The behind the scenes production of the film is co produced by Israel, France, and the United States. The dialogue in the film is mainly in English, as well as Hebrew and Russian. The director of this film is Israeli director Danny Lerner, who graduated from the Film Department of Tel Aviv University. He made his debut film "Nightmare" in 2005, which is full of complex social elements and deep psychological descriptions. He has become a leader among the new generation of Israeli directors and has made a temporary debut in the international film industry. "The Wall" is his second film.
