Plot Summary

Dave Smalak (James Franco) and his best friend Aaron (Seth Rogen) are hosts and producers of a gossip talk show. Despite rising ratings, Aaron, who comes from a background in journalism, still hopes to make great achievements in the orthodox field. At the same time, North Korea, ruled by Kim Jong un (played by Randall Park), claimed to bomb the West Coast of the United States with nuclear weapons, causing the relationship between North Korea and the United States to plummet to freezing point and tensions to rise. And Dave had a sudden idea to interview this dictator, who was seen as a demon in the eyes of the world, face to face. When the two had not yet set off, CIA agents came knocking on their door and asked them to wait for an opportunity to assassinate Kim Jong un during the interview. After several rounds, unreliable Dave and Aaron agreed to this dangerous mission. They finally arrived in the mysterious North Korea, but unexpected situations occurred one after another...
