Plot Summary
The story of Best Art Direction (nominated) at the 73rd Academy Awards takes place in 1671 in France, where the extravagant lifestyle of the nobles and nobles plunged the people into dire straits and unbearable living conditions, leading to increasing anger and rebellion. However, even in such a situation, Prince Kude (Julian Glover) is still preoccupied with how to please his father Louis XIV (Julian Sands). For this reason, Prince Kude decided to hold a three-day grand banquet and entrusted the task to his attendant Walter (played by G é rard Depardieu). Walter excellently completed the task assigned to him by the prince, and all the guests at the banquet were satisfied and amazed by what they heard and saw. The appearance of a noblewoman named Anne (Uma Thurman) caused Walter to fall in love, and unfortunately, Louis XIV also seemed to want Anne. In the face of such a powerful rival, Walter fell into pain.
