Description
Plot Summary
Travis (played by Robert De Niro) has been making a living by driving a taxi in New York since retiring from the Vietnam War. After the war, he felt somewhat disappointed, and witnessing various crimes under the night sky in New York while driving a taxi made him cynical and resentful of society. After failing to pursue the secretary of presidential candidate Palantan's campaign office, Bessi, Travis decided to assassinate Palantan to prove himself. In the process of preparing for the assassination, Travis met Iris, a child prostitute who was forced into prostitution. After failing to save Iris from the fire pit, Travis stormed into the brothel with a weapon and killed all the people inside! I thought I was about to receive legal punishment, but the media portrayed Travis as a hero who saved a young girl
