Plot Summary

Housewife Kate (played by Angie Dickinson) and her husband's marriage life is lackluster, while their son Pete (played by Keith Gordon) is addicted to his inventions all day long. She often seeks help from Elliott (played by Michael Caine) and even tries to seduce this tall and handsome psychologist. One day, Kate ran into a man in the art museum, and after a brief mutual test, the two quickly started a fire. After the passion subsided, Kate thought of her husband and son and felt guilty. Just as she was about to leave in the elevator, she was brutally killed with a razor by a strange woman wearing sunglasses. Prostitute Blake (played by Nancy Allen) witnessed this terrifying scene, and as a witness, she was suspected by the police to be the murderer. In order to clear the suspicion, she decided to delve into the case and investigate the truth. With Pete's help, she quickly locked the suspicion onto a person named "Buck", who turned out to be Elliot's patient. Is this all a conspiracy or a coincidence? As Blake approached the truth, great danger gradually approached her.
