Description
Plot Summary
The story tells of a 14-year-old brother and a 4-year-old sister who lost their mother in an air raid towards the end of the war. In order to force the people to save the surplus resources from the war, the local government imposed strict control on them. The brother and sister refused to live under this control, so they made a home in a cave without adults to help them. They had to search for food to make a living on their own. In addition to their hard work, they were also lively and active like other children, playing in the chaotic fields and watching fireflies flying in the sky on the grassland at night. But the happy days didn't last long, and in the end, my younger sister died of physical weakness.
