Description
Plot Summary
The USS Montana, a US nuclear submarine, unfortunately disappeared while tracking an unidentified object in the deep sea. Bard (played by Ed Harris), the foreman of the high-pressure submersible drilling rig Deep Heart, received orders to cooperate with Captain Kofi (played by Michael Biehn) to rescue it. Surprisingly, along with Bard, there was also his wife, oil company engineer Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, who had been at odds with Bard. A rescue team consisting of three people dived to the edge of the underwater abyss where the submarine disappeared, only to find that there were no survivors on board. What was alarming was that there was still an unknown monster in the abyss. After a series of crises, Captain Kofi ignored advice and believed that this was a Soviet conspiracy. He decided to launch the nuclear bomb removed from the submarine at an unknown enemy, and Bard and Lindsey joined forces to start a life and death struggle.
