Description
Plot Summary
A major earthquake caused a volcanic eruption deep underground in Los Angeles, flowing towards residential areas, and workers repairing underground pipelines were burned to death. Geologist Amy and her friend personally experienced their friend's life being taken away by magma eruption while they went down to survey the tunnel. For a moment, a corner of the city was filled with magma erupting underground. Crisis management center commander Mike (played by Tommy Lee Jones) took Dr. Amy's advice and began evacuating the crowd. They first used millions of tons of airborne precipitation to turn the incoming magma into an obstacle, blocking its flow. Just as everyone thought they were relieved, Dr. Amy believed that the magma had not really been blocked, but had changed its direction and was rushing towards the hospital filled with wounded soldiers. They only have 30 minutes left to deal with this problem, can they succeed?
