Description

Plot Summary

Year after year, the black faced spoonbill travels back and forth between the north and south, flying in the call of the changing seasons of nature. More than half of the black faced spoonbills facing extinction crisis fly back to Taiwan in autumn and warm homes in winter every year. This 8000 mile distant journey tells a life story of overcoming difficulties and dangers in order to survive, as well as a promise to return home. This is the first time in Taiwan that high-definition television technology has been used to fully record the long journey of the black faced spoonbill's cross-border migration. The production team invested one year in tracking and filming, covering a journey of 16000 kilometers from Tainan in Taiwan, Japan, the border between North and South Korea, to the uninhabited island of Dalian in China, crossing political boundaries and overcoming technical difficulties such as geographical environment, weather, bird conditions, tides, and wind direction, taking domestic HD ecological documentaries to a new level of international integration. At the same time, it is also the first time in the world that the complete process of artificial incubation and reproduction of black spoonbills has been recorded.
