Plot Summary

Obese and melancholic Javier (played by Carlos Areces) was born into a family of clowns in Spain. His father died in the civil war and had instructed his son, who had carried too much pain, to become a sad clown before his death. Time passed, and as an adult, Javier found a job at a circus where he met the leading clown Serge (played by Antonio de la Torre) and the stunning acrobat actress Natalia (played by Carolina Bang). They are a couple, and in their daily lives, Saiji is addicted to alcohol and goes berserk, often resorting to physical violence against Natalia. Although the latter is in great pain, she is deeply immersed in this perverted violence. Javier loves this delicate little flower that is often ravaged by storms, and Natalia gradually falls in love with Javier's pure kindness. Taking this as an opportunity, these three people entangled in a bloody and twisted life...
