Description
Plot Summary
Unable to bear the brutal oppression of the Olympian gods, King Achris of Argos (played by Jason Flemyng) rose up in rebellion, showing great disrespect towards the supreme deity. Encouraged by Hades (Ralph Fiennes), the god Zeus (Liam Neeson) decides to punish the foolish humans. Perseus (played by Sam Worthington), a young man who was stranded in Argos after a shipwreck, is a demigod born to the queen of Zeus and Achilles. He witnessed the terrifying miracle performed by Hades and learned that Hades will release the North Sea monster Kraken to punish the world, unless Achilles sacrifices the beautiful princess Andremeda (played by Alexa Davalos) to the gods. Under the guidance of the goddess Io (played by Gemma Arterton), Perseus discovers his identity and mission, and decides to embark on a conspiracy to kill the North Sea monsters and destroy Hades... This film is adapted from Greek mythology and is also a remake of the 1980s film of the same name.
