Plot Summary

Surfman "is adapted from a true story and tells the life story of the famous surfer Jay Moriarty, who passed away at a young age. Half Moon Bay has become a holy land for surfing enthusiasts, and Mavericks waves have become the wave that all surfers most want to conquer. Jay's father is also a surfer, and when Jay was 9 years old, he took him surfing with him. Jay quickly mastered the skills of surfing and fell in love with surfing ever since. When Jay (played by Johnny Weston) was 15 years old, he discovered the legendary Mavericks, one of the largest waves in the world, along the Half Moon Bay coast. In order to conquer the giant waves of Mavericks, Jay earnestly requests surfing coach Frosty Heisen (played by Gerard Butler) to guide his skills. In the exploration of learning guidance, the two gradually developed a familial bond of being both teachers and friends, which also influenced their respective attitudes towards life. At the age of 16, Jay successfully conquered Mavericks waves and his spectacular performance was captured by photographers, becoming a rising star in the surfing industry and a beloved idol among surfing enthusiasts around the world.
