Plot Summary

Major Samar Anand (Shahrukh Khan) is an expert in mine clearance and explosion prevention, maintaining his own bomb disposal records in the military. He shuttles between life and death every day, facing life and death calmly, but he never wears protective equipment. Accidentally rescued the young girl Aqlalaye (played by Anushka Sharma), and the love story remembered in her diary left her deeply fascinated by Samar. Using her identity as an intern on the Discovery Channel, Aqila spent two weeks documenting Samar's story and gradually delved deeper into his tale. It turns out that more than a decade ago, the poor boy Samar, who was a wandering singer in London, met a wealthy woman named Mirathapar (played by Katrina Kaif) and touched her heart with her beautiful singing voice. Mira, who was already engaged, fell hopelessly in love with him. However, devout Christian Mira prayed to God after a car accident in Samar that if he could survive, he would never meet again. Samar, who survived, lost his beloved Mira as a result. He challenged God to either let him die or let Mira return to her side. Thus, Samar returned to India and began his dangerous military life amidst gunfire and bullets. However, in 2012, he returned to London again for a documentary about Akira and suffered another car accident. His amnesia pushed his beloved Mira back into his life...
