Plot Summary

Famous director Andrew Stanton, who has won the Academy Award, brings his new masterpiece "Battlefield", an epic action adventure set against the mysterious and magnificent backdrop of Mars. The film is adapted from the classic science fiction novel "The Martian Princess" written by Edgar Rice Burroughs in the early 20th century. The story tells of John Carter (played by Taylor Kitsch), a traumatized former military officer who accidentally travels to Mars during the American Civil War. Due to different gravitational forces, John became an incredibly powerful and bouncing "superman", and thus became embroiled in conflicts among several local ethnic groups, navigating between the beautiful princess Deja Solis (played by Lynn Collins), the brave ally Tars Tarkas (played by Willem Dafoe), and the cunning enemy Sabo Zane.
