Description
Plot Summary
Walter (played by Tom Hanks) is a producer who, because his daughter Lillian (played by Dandrie Taylor) particularly loves a novel called "Full of Joy", Walter promises Lillian that he will bring the wonderful stories from this novel to the screen, allowing more people to experience the joy and beauty in it. In order to purchase the copyright of the novel, Walt approached the original author Travers (played by Emma Thompson). To Walt's surprise, despite his kind words, he failed to impress this stubborn and stubborn female writer. In the end, it was the decline in the novel's sales that forced Travers to reluctantly agree to Walt's request. However, for Walt, obtaining the adaptation rights was only the beginning of great difficulties. When the movie "Full of Joy" was finally released, 20 years had already passed.
