Plot Summary

In the distant future, with the advancement of human technology, we have entered an era where we can freely travel through every corner of the galaxy. At the same time, people on the edge of the galaxy are waging war to obtain the right to return to Earth. For this purpose, four Death Shadow class space battleships were built and deployed on the battlefield. The captain of the fourth battleship is named Harlock (voiced by Junichiro Kojiki), who rose to fame in battle and became a legendary hero. However, as the war came to an end, Harlock's figure also disappeared from people's sight. Not long after, the pirate ship "Arcadia" with a huge skull crest carved on its bow suddenly appeared, and the pirate captain turned out to be the former hero Harlock! This time, he raised the banner of rebellion as a space pirate, fighting against the federal government and becoming the most wanted criminal in the entire universe.
