Plot Summary
Amy Winehouse, who won six Grammy Awards, passed away on July 23, 2011, due to alcohol poisoning at the age of 27. This documentary reveals some personal images of Amy before her death, and hopes to uncover the truth behind this tragedy from Amy's own perspective. Producer James Gay Rees said, "This contemporary film captures the spirit of the times and interprets the world we live in a way that other films cannot achieve." Amy Winehouse is considered one of the most outstanding jazz female singers of this era. In addition to her lazy and husky voice, she always wears a towering and messy honeycomb head, extreme exaggerated smoky makeup, and disheveled and revealing clothes, attracting everyone's attention. Her songs seem to come from an unfathomable depths of the heart, with a bewitching magic. However, sadly, Amy became a prisoner of her own success, media, emotions, and lifestyle. In this society, while people appreciate her talent, they also mercilessly harm and consume her.
