Description

Plot Summary

The fertile land stretches for thousands of miles, the land of abundance "is Zhuge Liang's praise for Sichuan, and the title of" Land of Abundance "is therefore well-known both at home and abroad. Among them, the most internationally renowned is undoubtedly the "Giant Panda Nature Reserve" in Wolong. There are nearly 150 pandas in the protected area, accounting for one tenth of the total population in China. The giant panda, known as the "living fossil of animals," had its earliest ancestor millions of years ago. It was a carnivorous animal that evolved over a long period of time to primarily feed on bamboo. Due to the threat of human hunting and habitat destruction, there are now only 1600 giant pandas left in the world, scattered sporadically in southern Shaanxi, Gansu, and Sichuan provinces of China, with over 80% of them distributed in Sichuan. This film provides a detailed report on the conservation and growth process of pandas in inland Sichuan. The plump and honest pandas are loved by everyone, and the caretakers have put in great effort and labor to take care of and feed them. The Wolong Base not only attracts a large number of people, but also generates a significant amount of tourism revenue for the local area. In 1961, pandas were selected as the symbol of the World Wildlife Fund. Pandas have since become cultural ambassadors, frequently representing China on visits to countries such as the United States and Japan, promoting international diplomacy, and generating significant foreign exchange earnings for China. For decades, Wolong Base has been an excellent demonstration of the natural love between humans and animals.
