Description
Plot Summary
Hacheson plays Nick, an inexperienced college student who, while traveling and surfing with his brother in Colombia, falls in love with a local girl named Maria. Maria is the niece of drug lord Pablo Escobar, and Nick enters Escobar's drug network, becoming one of his confidants. After the government's large-scale investigation and crackdown on drug trafficking organizations began, Escobar's suspicion grew stronger, and Nick's situation became precarious... Benicio del Toro's portrayal of drug lord Pablo Escobar in the film is a historical figure. He was the notorious "King of Cocaine" in Colombia and died in 1993 during a pursuit by Colombian police.
