Plot Summary

In the vast history, political alliances between countries for self-protection are not uncommon. Prince Edward (played by Richard Chamberlain) faces such a situation. In order to protect his country from foreign invasion, he must marry a woman he does not love at all. Unfortunately, Prince Edward was a man of love and refused to submit no matter what. Helpless, the king decided to hold an unprecedentedly grand ball, gathering all the socialites from across the country, hoping to have the prince's beloved among them. After her father's death, Cindy Rilla (played by Gemma Craven) became a lonely orphan, and her stepmother's harsh abuse almost turned her into a maid, who was originally happy and content. The fairy (played by Annette Crosbie) sympathized with Cinderella and used magic to dress her up beautifully, sending her to the prince's ball. In this way, the prince fell in love with Cinderella, but just as he was about to confess his love, the magic on Cinderella's body disappeared. In a panic, Cinderella escaped, leaving only a crystal shoe behind. With this clue, Prince Edward began his search for his beloved.
