Plot Summary

At the 37th (64th) Academy Awards, "My Fair Lady" received thirteen nominations for Best Picture and won eight awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Color Cinematography, Best Color Film Artist, Best Color Film Costume Design, Best Sound System, and Best Adapted Music. Eliza, the flower girl Doolittle, with clear eyebrows and beautiful eyes, is intelligent and well behaved, but comes from a humble background and comes from a poor family. She goes to the streets every day to sell flowers and earn some money to support her family. One day, Eliza's vulgar voice caught the attention of linguist Professor Higgins, who boasted that with his training, a flower girl could also become a noblewoman. Eliza felt that what the professor said was an opportunity for her, so she took the initiative to come and ask the professor to train her. Professor's friend Pickering made a bet with him that if Eliza attended the ambassador's garden party as your wife in six months without being exposed, Pickering would be willing to bear all the experimental costs and Eliza's tuition fees. This ignited the professor's fighting spirit, and Sikins gladly accepted the challenge. He is not to be outdone, he starts teaching from the most basic letter pronunciation. Higgins is an energetic and scientific scholar who can sleep and eat tirelessly on anything he is interested in. He has an open mind and no ill intentions, but like a child, he doesn't care about the feelings of others and trains Eliza rigorously. Once, when Higgins took Eliza to his mother's dinner party, the young gentleman Freddie was deeply moved by Eliza's beauty and confident demeanor. At first sight, he fell in love with her and couldn't even recognize her as the dirty flower girl who had once been selling to him in the rain. Higgins is over 40 years old and unmarried. He has never looked up to young girls, but now he can't live without Eliza. His clothes, food, and date arrangements are all taken care of by Eliza. However, what annoyed Eliza was Higgins' simple and rough temper. He taught her gentle language, but never treated her with a gentle attitude. Six months later, Higgins confidently brought Eliza and Pickering to attend a reception hosted by the Greek ambassador. Eliza attended the ambassador's reception as the adopted daughter of Colonel Pickering. She gave it her all, talked and laughed with ease, had a graceful demeanor, and shone brightly. When she appeared in front of everyone, they stopped talking and admired her captivating demeanor. She was mature and experienced in dealing with people, yet just right. Higgins' first student, Nepomuk, used all his skills to deal with Eliza, but was confused by her and failed. Higgins succeeded. But when she returned home, due to Higgins ignoring the exhausted existence of Eliza and only celebrating the success of the bet with her friends, Eliza's self-esteem was hurt. Feeling wronged, she angrily left Higgins' home. She met the infatuated Freddie at the door - he would wander under Eliza's window every night, silently watching her, and Eliza was moved by his infatuation. Although Higgins had a hot tempered attitude, he treated Eliza sincerely. After Eliza ran away in anger, he felt very frustrated. He went to his mother's house to find her, but the two of them had another argument. Eliza expressed her intention to marry Freddie, but Higgins was both surprised and angry, and left angrily. But on the way home, he couldn't help but think of Eliza. When he was alone at home listening to Eliza's recording, Eliza came back! She still loves Higgins!
