Plot Summary

In Phoenix City, Tan Fu (played by Chen Guantai) and Long Shuai (played by Liu Yong) are both wealthy and well-known in the martial arts world. Over the years, the two families have been secretly competing with each other, causing waves in the city from time to time. As the annual lantern festival approaches, Long Shuai searches for a renowned lantern maker to surpass Tan Fu. Upon guidance, he discovers that the master is actually his enemy from seven years ago, Zhao Chunfang (played by Luo Lie). When Long and Zhao compete for the beautiful woman Jin Niang, Zhao Chunfang loses to Long Shuai. Seeing Jin Niang marry into a woman, Zhao Chunfang is left with a humiliating scar on his forehead. Zhao Chunfang pretended to accept Long Shuai, but secretly began implementing a revenge plan. Zhao Chunfang used a skull mask to hide his face and kidnapped Tan Fu's sister, Long Shuai's lover, and Jin Niang.
