Plot Summary

College student Jeffrey (played by Kyle MacLachlan) returns to a small town to take care of his sick father. However, this seemingly peaceful and comfortable town leads Jeffrey to discover a brutally cut ear in the grass on his way home, causing him to vomit on the spot. This ear attracted the investigation of police officer Williams. Williams has a pure and innocent young daughter named Sandy (played by Laura Dern), who is in love with Jeffrey. In order to please her lover, she reveals the progress of the case to him. Jeffrey follows the clues and tracks nightclub singer Dorothy (played by Isabella Rossellini), only to find that she was sexually abused in her own home by the gang leader Frank, who tied her hands and feet and stuffed a piece of blue velvet into her mouth. All of this shocked Jeffrey, but it also sparked his imagination about Dorothy. He couldn't help but sneak into Dorothy's room time and time again to peek. Sandy felt that her boyfriend's heart was not on him and wanted to save him with his body, but Jeffrey had already been controlled by everything that was strange and perverted in this small town
