Plot Summary

Pedro Almod ó var, a Spanish director, is one of the most original, interesting, and unique directors in the world. He likes to decorate this dull world through the innate animalistic desires of "sex" and "violent crime", as well as the open enthusiasm and magnificent colors unique to Spain. This film received multiple professional awards, including Best Actress at the 1996 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Female writer Leo (played by Marisa Paredes) has been writing romance novels under Amanda's pen name for more than 20 years, but recently her writing has encountered a bottleneck. Her husband, who works in the military, has been abroad for a long time, which makes Leo unable to focus on writing due to marital tension. Even a pair of boots can trouble her. With the introduction of his friend Betty, Leo meets the editor Angel (played by Juan Echanove). Although Leo refuses the other's job, Angel's sharpness still leaves an impression on her.
