Plot Summary

The violent and mysterious nature of tornadoes has attracted a large number of scientists to conduct in-depth research. Going deep into the middle of a storm is the most dangerous behavior, but it is also the most effective way to explore tornadoes. Joe (played by Helen Hunt) and his divorced husband Bill (played by Bill Paxton) are scientists who "dance with dragons". Even though their relationship has broken down, Bill has found a new lover. However, driven by their obsession with tornado research, they decide to pursue a hurricane in Oklahoma together and place the newly developed detector "Dorothy" at the center of the tornado to collect data. They were driving a run down truck and leading a chasing team towards the most dangerous place.
