Plot Summary

Zhou Yu (played by Gong Li) works in pottery in a small town. After meeting the poet Chen Qing (played by Tony Leung Ka fai), her beautiful and kind heart falls in love with him. Although Chen Qing worked as a librarian in another town and lived a poor life, the power of love still made Zhou Yu willing to work hard and travel between the two places just to take care of Chen Qing. Slowly, she became a little tired. There is often a passenger named Zhang Qiang (played by Sun Honglei) on the train. Zhang Qiang was secretly moved by Zhou Yu's beautiful temperament, and the two gradually understood from their initial argument. Zhang Qiang always helps Zhou Yu to relieve her worries when she is lost and troubled, and helps her find the lake described in Chen Qing's poetry.
