Plot Summary

Reporter Ling (played by Li Xinjie)'s boyfriend Peter receives news of a criminal case and suddenly dies in a traffic accident while on his way to collect evidence. Ling felt something was amiss, and after investigation, she discovered a murder case involving a model. Helen, a female model, died naked in the bathtub at home. There was no evidence of Zhang Chengzhi, the son of a wealthy man, not being absent, but the incident was quietly handled by the police, and Zhang Chengzhi's relevant evidence was also eliminated. Ling refuses to let her boyfriend die in vain and vows to investigate the truth behind the incident, but the newspaper editor in chief, Zeng Dashi (played by Tony Leung Ka fai), is unwilling to lend a helping hand to Ling. Helpless, Ling had to seek help from Fei (played by Huang Qiusheng) and Ma Zai (played by Ge Minhui), who were often pursued for debt, to investigate the truth.
