Plot Summary

At the beginning of the 21st century, a plague claimed 99 human lives, and the survivors relied on the invention of scientist GoodChad to build the isolated city of Brugge to maintain civilization. Four hundred years later, some citizens were dissatisfied with the dictatorship of the Goodchard regime and the ongoing disappearances, and formed the armed forces of the Magic Party (Monicans) to resist. Female warrior Ian (Charlize Theron) is a powerful figure in the Magic Party. While completing a mission to destroy the GoodChad surveillance system, Ian witnesses the body of his own sister who was killed by the enemy.
