Plot Summary
Shadowless Sword "depicts the romantic entanglements and fates of men and women in turbulent times, and is a martial arts film set in the Bohai era that tells the stories of three heroes. Li Ruizhen plays the role of the second prince, "Taisho Xian," who is facing the downfall of his country due to political struggles and has unfortunately been exiled. He is prepared to dedicate himself to rebuilding his homeland, Bohai, which is threatened by the Khitan. During this process, he became involved in a love affair. Yin Suyi, who showed her brilliant martial arts in the film "Arohan Palm Battle", will play the role of "Yan Suhe", the first female soldier in the Bohai Sea. She wanders between two men, playing a love tragedy. After Yan Suhe's parents were killed by Khitan invaders, they were raised by a secret organization with high martial arts skills. Her martial arts are highly skilled and her kung fu is unique. In the face of danger, he was ordered to search for the exiled prince. To protect the prince, she took out the Shadowless Sword. During his more than ten years of exile, Taisho hyun was a commoner who made a living by reselling stolen goods. Due to the drastic changes in fate and decades of exile that he had to face, he refused to accept Yan Suhe and did not believe everything she told him, so he chose to escape. On the way out, he encountered a group of assassins sent by the invaders. Fortunately, with the help of Yan Suhe, he narrowly escaped death and decided to return to Bohai with her. The role of "Junping" competing for power and love with "Taisho hyun" is played by Shin Hyun joon, who left a strong impression in "Flying Dance". He was originally a general of Bohai Kingdom, but due to his greedy ambition, he betrayed his homeland and colluded with the Khitan invaders who promised to help him establish a kingdom. Can Dae Jung hyun and Yan Suhe break through the encirclement and smoothly return to Bohai Kingdom? An inevitable bloody battle unfolded... The behind the scenes production of this film was jointly produced by New Line Cinema, which successfully released The Lord of the Rings, and South Korean entertainment company Taewon Entertainment. In addition to providing 30% of the production cost of 8 billion Korean won, New Line Cinema is also responsible for distributing the film in Europe and the United States. Meanwhile, New Line Cinema is also responsible for bearing the marketing expenses during distribution. At the American Film Market Association (AFMA) conference held in Los Angeles in February this year, the two sides reached the above agreement. The joint production of Korean films by major Hollywood producers and the Korean side is unprecedented in the history of Korean cinema. Prior to this, the film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was released through Colombian investment, and Zhang Ziyi gained a place in Hollywood as a result. Therefore, Korean filmmakers had great confidence in "Shadowless Sword" newspaper, and even some Korean media referred to the female lead Yin Suyi as the "Korean Zhang Ziyi". The film 'Shadowless Sword' was filmed in over 20 cities in China. The film caught the attention of overseas investors such as Japan, France, and Germany before its release... Highlights: A few years ago, as South Korea's first historical martial arts film, "Flying Dance," starring Shin Hyun joon and Kim Hee sun, achieved great success. Director Jin Rongjun, who won over the audience with the movie "Fei Tian Wu", aims to surpass "Fei Tian Wu" and open a new chapter in 21st century martial arts films. Back then, "Fei Tian Wu" was an example of film and television industry cooperation between China and South Korea. This time, as a sequel, "Shadowless Sword" also chose the Sino Korean cooperation mode, still directed by South Korean director Kim Yong joon, but the martial arts director was Hong Kong martial arts director Ma Yucheng, who had previously directed the mainland version of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes". The martial arts movements in "Flying Dance" caused a great sensation in South Korea at that time, but it was not surprising in the eyes of Chinese audiences. This martial arts design will break through this point. The Hong Kong action designer Ma Yucheng invited by the crew not only has rich experience, but also designs completely different and novel martial arts actions based on the physical characteristics of Korean actors and specific weapons. At that time, it can not only give Korean audiences a new experience, but also bring Korean style martial arts to Chinese audiences.
